Forty Under 40: Nick Spicher
Nick Spicher had finally found his dream career field, and he knew it.
“When I woke up with that feeling of loving what I’m doing and being excited about going to work, that’s when I knew,” he said.
That happened when Spicher left a job as a financial planner at Procter & Gamble’s headquarters in Cincinnati for a position as an account executive at the company’s Fayetteville location.
“My career really took off when I matched my skills and energy and passion with what I was doing at work,” he said.
That passion also bleeds over to his involvement in the community.
Spicher is on the board of 99 Balloons, an organization that helps children with special needs engage locally and globally. He also spearheads Procter & Gamble’s involvement volunteering with The Miracle League.
“We had over 150 P&G employees volunteer and play baseball with the kids,” he said.
Spicher received an accounting degree from Miami (Ohio) University and his MBA from Xavier University.
After working five years at a Cincinnati financial company he landed where he always thought he would — at Procter & Gamble.
“Just like you’re surrounded by Walmart here in Northwest Arkansas, in Cincinnati you’re surrounded by P&G,” Spicher said. “So I always knew I wanted to work there.”
