Forty Under 40: LaDonna Meredith
LaDonna Meredith is passionate about helping the community. In addition to embarking on a new career in marketing, she works with Let’s Bring Them Home, a national nonprofit she co-founded that offers services for families with missing loved ones.
Her biggest achievement, she said, has been the development of a missing persons program and the progress the group has made with missing adults, including initiatives that bring standardized reporting to coroners and law enforcement offices. She also serves on the board of the Northwest Arkansas Rape Crisis Center.
Meredith previously served as the development director for the Arkansas Support Network, a nonprofit that supports individuals with disabilities and their families.
She recently moved into a marketing position for SOAPware, a company that provides electronic healthcare record systems for physicians.
“It’s an interesting time in the medical field; it’s challenging but exciting at the same time,” she said. Meredith said her goals include helping the company grow to be the number one electronic healthcare record company.
Her best advice for others, she said, is to get involved with the community.
“Sometimes it’s as simple as volunteering with an organization,” she said. “You find opportunities to grow your career.”
