Forty Under 40: Alex Miller
Alex Miller has always been a numbers guy. He also knew from a young age that he wanted to be a professional at something. He knew a couple of tax attorneys from his hometown of Jonesboro and felt like that might be a good fit for him.
“I was hoping I would end up enjoying it,” he said. “As I got going in law school, the tax classes were the ones I excelled in. Once I got out of law school and started working, I actually liked it.”
Miller graduated from Arkansas State in 2002 with a degree in accounting. After graduating from law school at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2005, he got a master’s in tax law from the University of San Diego in 2006.
Miller knew he wanted to be in Northwest Arkansas and there happened to be a firm that was looking for an attorney with his particular degree.
“It sort of fell into my lap,” he said.
He started working at Reece More Pendergraft right after school and was made partner in 2012.
Miller said the highlight of his career has been ending up at a firm that was a perfect fit.
“I have been really blessed to work with a great group of people,” he said.
Miller said his goals are to continue growing the firm and growing his practice.
