Designated the community book read by the UAFS College of Languages and Communications for the spring of 2013, this class will examine the life and contributions of those people among us with Autism spectrum disorders. And yet this book according to the author Mark Haddon “is not a book about asperger’s….if anything it’s a novel about difference, about being an outsider, about seeing the world in a surprising and revealing way. The book is not specifically about any specific disorder,” and we will approach it that way talking about difference and what it means, how we all contribute to society’s well-being.
