In our last issue, we highlighted PepsiCo NW AR, the food and beverage giant’s Rogers office that primarily serves Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Sam’s Club, and its commitment to workplace wellness initiatives. PepsiCo’s efforts, you might remember, have earned it “Gold” status as part of the American Heart Association’s “Fit-Friendly Worksite” program.

One nugget we forgot to mention: PepsiCo is one of just 10 Arkansas companies to earn that distinction. It also seems worth mentioning half of those companies are in Northwest Arkansas.

In addition to PepsiCo, they are General Mills’ Walmart/Sam’s Team, Johnson & Johnson and Mercy Health System of NWA — all of Rogers — along with GE Capital in Bentonville.
