Leadership Changes in the Works at ALPFA

Shortly before Hispanic business organization ALPFA held its annual Leadership Summit in Northwest Arkansas last month, two leaders of the Fayetteville-based ALPFA Institute left to start a management consulting firm.
Adam Arroyos, hired in May 2011 to form the institute and serve as president, is now president and CEO of Grandslam Performance Associates LLC. Jay Amargos, who’d been the institute’s VP of operations, is the new company’s COO.
In August, Arroyos was named to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Forty Under 40. Amargos was in the 2011 class.
The institute, based at the University of Arkansas’ Sam M. Walton College, offers programs, advising and consulting to help companies worldwide attract and retain Hispanic leaders. It’s a partnership between ALPFA and the university.
The institute’s new CEO is Manny Espinoza, who also is CEO of the Los Angeles-based organization.
“ALPFA is very committed to Northwest Arkansas,” said Espinoza, who’s been involved with the institute from its beginning. I’m very excited about taking a larger role in the Institute.”
ALPFA held the summit Oct. 28-30 in Rogers and Bentonville. Nearly 300 members from 40 chapters across the country attended for networking and strategic planning.
