Foghorn’s Spreading Its Wings

Jeff Hodges, who owns both Foghorn’s locations in Fayetteville, is moving the restaurant at 2175 N. College Ave. to the building that previously housed Mermaid’s, at 1815 Green Acres Road.

Hodges said he closes on the property at the end of the month, and will immediately start renovations. The new location is 3,000 SF, compared to 2,000 SF at the College Avenue restaurant. He also bought the lot north of the building for added parking.

The new location should be open in March or April, he said.

Hodges also has expansion plans for the location near Baum Stadium, at 1545 W. 15th St., Suite 1. He’ll start construction next week in the adjacent suite, adding 1,875 SF, and “plans to be done by the Super Bowl,” he said. The restaurant will stay open during construction.

Both expansions will add rooms for private parties and events, and Hodges expects to hire 10 to 15 additional staff.
