Sale of Springdale Home Near Lake Fayetteville Hits $900,000
A 6,758-SF ranch style home overlooking Lake Fayetteville sold recently for $900,000.
Monte and Brooke Johnston bought the Lake Road property in Springdale from Shaw Holdings LP, which lists Bobby G. Shaw as registered agent.
IberiaBank Mortgage Co. of Little Rock helped finance the deal with a mortgage worth $810,000.
The home was built in 1966 and sits on 4.41 acres.
The property last appraised in 2010 for $858,950. The home was recently renovated, and has an in-ground swimming pool.
Lauren Northey with Portfolio Luxury Real Estate in Rogers was the listing agent.
Panda Permit
Triad Retail Construction Inc. of Pearland, Texas, is using a building permit worth $739,000 to build a Panda Express restaurant at 2004-A S. Promenade Blvd. in Rogers.
Panda Restaurant Group Inc. of California recently paid $750,000 for the 1.05-acre lot.
The 2,560-SF building is scheduled for a December completion.
Buffington Buy
Clay Carlton, Mike Lamberth, Tom Buffington and Mike Buffington, through their Buffington Homes of Arkansas LLC, recently purchased 48 lots of the 60-lot The Hamptons subdivision in Cave Springs for $598,000, or $12,458 per lot.
Idaho-owned ANB Venture LLC was the seller.
Fayetteville-based Signature Bank of Arkansas financed the purchase.
The Hamptons is at t Shores Avenue and South Rainbow Road, north of Arkansas Highway 264.
Buffington will build out the subdivision with a variety of floor plans ranging from 1,400 SF to 2,200 SF.
The homes will have brick and stone exteriors, and will list from about $140,000 to $180,000.
Convenient Construction
Construction is progressing on a 5,000-SF Kum & Go gas station and convenience store at 2351 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale.
Henning Construction Co. of Johnston, Iowa, is the general contractor. The company purchased a building permit valued at $537,477.
The previous Kum & Go on the same site, a 2,520-SF building, was demolished.
Arco Excavation & Paving of Springdale did the dirt work.
Kum & Go purchased an additional half-acre at the construction site for $805,000 in July.
The sellers were W.S. and Delores Atherton.
Iowa-based Kum & Go operates more than 400 stores in 11 states. It is the fifth largest privately held, company-operated convenience store chain in the U.S.
