Its Elemental at NanoMech

The good news for Springdale-based NanoMech Inc. is rolling in almost faster than we can report it.

Fresh off announcing a partnership with KDH Defense Systems — a major contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense — for its nGuard product, we hear the nanotechnology manufacturer just beat out 500 competitors to win U.S. Department of Energy recognition that will allow it to move forward with the development of a new, nanomanufactured motor oil.

Our sources believe the motor-oil development could revolutionize that industry. It involves nGlide, a NanoMech product that dramatically reduces friction and extends the durability and life of motor oil, among other lubricants

These are just the latest in a string of honors given to NanoMech during the 18 months since Jim Phillips assumed its CEO role. All of the success, Whispers believes, makes an expansion of NanoMech’s current headquarters practically imminent.

While no one at the company would confirm such plans, we hear news concerning the construction of a bigger facility — as well a national investment round designed to fund the sales growth of their new products — could be coming soon.
