BBQ Restaurant to Get New ‘Nest’

Here’s more Benton County restaurant news. You may recall Fayetteville’s Boar’s Nest BBQ opening a second location in the Pinnacle Hills area of Rogers last year, in the building that formerly housed Fuddruckers and McB’s at 3001 Market St.

But Whispers has learned that building is in line for yet another tenant, possibly by the end of the year.

Grub’s Bar and Grille is the name we’ve heard. The Benton County expansion will give Grub’s three locations, joining the flagship restaurant just off Dickson Street and Grub’s Uptown, both in Fayetteville.

As we understand it, the building owner is tiring of the segment of Boar’s Nest nightclub/DJ/bar business — and McB’s before that, for that matter — from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

We assume that means the newest Grub’s will be built out in more of the Uptown brand, rather than the Dickson Street variety.

The building, in case you wondered, is in the portfolio of the Pinnacle Group, whose partners include Johnelle Hunt, co-founder of J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. of Lowell.

Boar’s Nest owners have already signed a letter of intent to lease a different space in Rogers.

The restaurant will vacate Market Street when the Grub’s agreement is finalized.
