Anniversary Event to Honor Walton, Tyson and Hunts

Economics Arkansas, the nonprofit, educational organization that promotes K-12 economic and financial literacy, is celebrating its 50th anniversary partly by honoring some of Northwest Arkansas’ most recognizable “entrepreneurial pioneers.”

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. founder Sam Walton, Tyson Foods Inc. founder Don Tyson, and J.B. Hunt Transport  Services Inc. founders J.B. and Johnelle Hunt will be celebrated at a Nov. 2 fundraising luncheon at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.

Best-selling author Arthur C. Brooks, president of the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research in Washington, D.C., will deliver the keynote speech.
