Mainstream Technologies’ John Burgess Named To International Board
The International Association of Cloud and Managed Service Providers (MSPAlliance) has appointed John Burgess, president of Little Rock-based Mainstream Technologies to its advisory board.
The MSPAlliance advisory board is tasked with maintaining the standards of conduct and certification guidelines of the association, most notably, the Unified Certification Standard [UCS]. Mainstream Technologies became the first company in the world to have achieved UCS certification.
“I am honored to join the MSPAlliance advisory board,” said Burgess. “The MSPAlliance has been a leading force in our industry’s response to the rapidly changing governance and regulatory landscape across the markets we serve. I look forward to working with this group of industry leaders as it continues to develop, refine and promote the Unified Certification Standard within our industry, and to educate the market on the value of best practice providers.”
The MSPAlliance advisory board meets regularly to review the UCS, with the objective of ensuring it is accurately reflecting changes in both the end-user marketplace as well as the service provider community. The board is also tasked with addressing issues related to promotion of the Unified Certification Standard to end-users as a means of self-regulation within the cloud and MSP profession.
“John brings a unique executive leadership and a vast amount of knowledge and expertise about managed services and hosting,” said Charles Weaver, MSPAlliance CEO. “His contribution to the board and to this profession will be invaluable.”
