Butterfield Trail Village hired Ken Cormier as its new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Cormier most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for Hillcrest Health Systems in Nebraska, where he managed a $38 million annual budget covering 42 independent homes and apartments, 48 assisted-living units, a total of 114 post-acute rehabilitation beds, inpatient and outpatient therapy departments, 104 long-term care beds, 60 memory-support units for Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and an adult day care.

Prior to his time in Nebraska, Cormier guided St. Joseph of the Pines in Southern Pines, North Carolina, a member of Catholic Health East. He began as their COO in 2002, and in 2007 was named President/CEO.

Originally from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana — a small suburb of Lafayette — Cormier received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and his master’s in Health Care Administration from Tulane.

Butterfield Trail Village is located in Fayetteville.
