Healthy Competition in Fitness Market

Stuart and Missi Walker are taking their act on the road.

The Walkers, who own Clubhaus Fitness and Soul Yoga Lounge in Fayetteville, expect to open a Little Rock location in the near future. Clubhaus Fitness Little Rock will be located in the former home of Arkansas Research Medical Testing Center, on the corner of Cantrell and Rebsamen Roads, Yes, the facility formerly owned by the late Jennings Osborne.

Stuart Walker’s father, Loyd, also is involved in the project, which will mirror the Fayetteville club’s model as an upscale boutique fitness center.

“Lots of training, lots of classes,” Stuart Walker told us.

The Little Rock location also will feature a Soul Yoga Lounge. It will be part of the 22,500-SF building, but have a separate entrance. Walker said the larger space in Little Rock also will allow for more group activity and a child care option for members.

Walker also said the city has approved the project and his SBA loan is in place. All that remains is hammering out the building permit so renovation can begin.
