The Arkansas Alumni Association has announced a class of six new members to its national board of directors, including three from Northwest Arkansas.

Kenneth B. Biesterveld (Bentonville), John W. Cole (Springdale) and Sharon Hunt (Fayetteville) are included in the new class of board members.

The other newcomers to the 33-member board are Teena Gunter (Oklahoma City), William L. Kerr (Tampa) and Joel G. Wood (Germantown, Tenn.).

Each will serve a three-year term.

Little Rock native John C. Reap of Dallas, a 1970 University of Arkansas graduate and board member since 2005, is the incoming board president. He succeeds Steve Nipper of Magnolia.

Reap retired in 2009 as president and CEO of Town North Bank N.A. in Dallas. His term as board president ends June 30, 2014.
