Siloam Springs Plans Medical Office Building

Construction on a medical office building next to the new Siloam Springs Regional Hospital on Progress Avenue could begin in the next few weeks.

Matthew Griffith, project coordinator for architectural firm Thomas, Miller & Partners PLLC of Brentwood, Tenn., said construction of the Siloam Springs Medical Arts Center will likely take about seven months.

The 19,000-SF, one-story building will have five doctor’s office suites, Griffith said.

The building will house medical providers who presently work at other locations, hospital spokesman Cathy Davis said. All of the office space has already been leased, she said.

Southland Constructors, also based in Brentwood, Tenn., is the contractor for the project, Griffith said. But he added that most of the subcontractors will be local companies.

Thomas, Miller also designed the $40 million hospital that opened April 28.

An affiliate of Community Health Systems of Franklin, Tenn., the hospital replaced the city-owned Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. SSRH serves communities in western Benton County and several counties in Oklahoma.
