Gov. Beebe Appoints 30 To Boards And Commissions

Governor Mike Beebe today announced the following judicial appointments:

George “Bucky” Ellis, Benton, as Special Associate Justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court for the case styled 11-1289, Thomas W. Kimbrell et al. v. Bob Allen McCleskey et al. Replaces Justice Jim Gunter, who has disqualified himself from this case.

Michael O. Parker, Little Rock, as Special Associate Justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court for the case styled 11-1061, DIRECTV, Inc. v. Jo Murray, Individually and on Behalf of an Arkansas Class of Similarly Situated Persons. Replaces Justice Jim Gunter, who has disqualified himself from this case.

Governor Beebe also announced the following appointments to boards and commissions:

Mark Arouh, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Acupuncture and Related Techniques. Appointment expires July 31, 2015.

Cindy Ball, Wynne, to the Governor’s Developmental Disabilities Council. Appointment expires June 30, 2017. Fills a vacant position.

Dr. Leigh Anne Bennett, Little Rock, to the Social Work Licensing Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2015. Replaces Dr. Steve Domon.

Ken Bethge, Pine Bluff, reappointed to the Arkansas Building Authority Council. Appointment expires July 22, 2015.

Jacqueline Bettis, Fayetteville, to the State Rehabilitation Council. Appointment expires February 1, 2015. Replaces Keith Vire.

Billy Burris, Little Rock, reappointed to the Sex Offenders Assessment Committee. Appointment expires July 1, 2016.

Kevin Castleberry, White Hall, to the Individual Sewage Disposal Systems Advisory Committee. Appointment expires October 1, 2015. Replaces Allen Gresham.

Shirley Clark, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Board of Hearing Instrument Dispensers. Appointment expires July 31, 2015.

William Byron Clark, Mena, to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District #18 West. Appointment expires January 14, 2016. Replaces Harold Jones.

Jay Coker, Stuttgart, reappointed to the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board. Appointment expires June 30, 2014.
