BHC acquires Group Insurance Consultants of Fort Smith

Marty Clark, president of Fort Smith, Arkansas-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Brown-Hiller-Clark & Associates, has announced the acquisition of Group Insurance Consultants of Fort Smith.

Established and owned since 1973 by Robert E. Sharum, Group Insurance Consultants is an employee benefits insurance agency and consultant offering a broad range of group medical, dental, life and disability insurance products to its customers throughout the states of Arkansas and Oklahoma.  

Brown-Hiller-Clark & Associates is the only non-bank subsidiary of Fort Smith-based First Bank Corp., and is ranked as the fourth largest insurance agency in Arkansas.

“We believe that the addition of Rob and his team to BHC will strategically complement our current employee benefits operation, and offer even more professional services to our existing commercial business customers,” Clark said.
