Cabela’s in Rogers Opening Aug. 30
Cabela’s will open its 100,000-SF store in Rogers on Thursday, Aug. 30, the company announced today.
According to a news release, a ribbon cutting will begin at 8:45 a.m. The store will open at 9 a.m., kicking off a four-day celebration spanning the Labor Day weekend and featuring celebrity appearances, family events and giveaways.
The store is located near Target across from the Pinnacle Hills Promenade. The publicly traded outdoor supplies retailer announced last summer last year it would be building its first store in Arkansas.
Cabela’s, headquartered in Sidney, Neb., currently has 37 stores across the United States and Canada.
“Our customers across Arkansas and the entire region are extremely passionate about the outdoors and waited a long time for this,” Cabela’s CEO Tommy Millner said in the news release. “Opening the doors … will finally bring the unique Cabela’s retail experience to the people of the Natural State.”
The company will also open stores in Charleston, W.Va., and Union Gap, Wash., later this year.
Cabela’s stores offer thousands of outdoor products, including hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, boating and wildlife-watching gear. It also sells outdoor clothing and outdoor-themed gifts and furnishings.
The store will employ about 175 full-time, part-time and seasonal workers.
