ATU-Ozark names chair for viticulture and enology
Andy Allen has been named its new program chair for viticulture and enology at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus.
Allen holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from Mississippi State University at Starkville and a master’s degree of science in horticulture from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
He has previously served as an extension viticulture specialist for wine grapes with North Carolina State University at Raleigh, viticulture advisor for Missouri State University at Springfield and extension viticulture specialist for the University of Missouri at Columbia.
“I’m very pleased and excited to be back in Arkansas, working with the program here at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus,” Allen said, “and to help support the Arkansas grape and wine industry.”
