Wal-Mart Appoints Head Of Global Ethics Team
Meredith Ehrmann Taylor was recently promoted to vice president for corporate and U.S. ethics of Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Besides her current responsibilities supporting Walmart U.S., Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart headquarters, Taylor will also lead the Global Ethics Office corporate function, to include Global Ethics Office governance, global escalation protocols for significant investigations and advisory services.
Taylor joined Wal-Mart in 1997 as a manager in the Realty Division. Since then, she has held several positions in Realty and Legal. In 2005, she was named associate general counsel and section head of Realty, and led the legal team for Realty Operations Support.
In 2009, Taylor moved to the Global Ethics Office as senior director of U.S. ethics. She has been responsible for overseeing ethics advisory and case management functions. She leads the Global Analytics and Systems team, which is responsible for the global case management system, identifying and addressing global trends and ensuring the quality of global data.
Taylor holds a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hendrix College in Conway.
