Two local executives named to national poultry board
USA Poultry & Egg Export Council recently announced its new board members for 2012 – 2013.
Two poultry executives from Northwest Arkansas were among those elected.
Neil Carey of Simmons Foods in Siloam Springs was elected chairman of council's marketing committee. Carey will also serve on the board and will have a seat on the executive committee, according to the release.
Larry Gibson of George’s Inc. in Springdale, was also elected to serve a three-year term on the board.
The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association is the world's largest and most active poultry organization. Membership includes producers and processors of broilers, turkeys, ducks, eggs, and breeding stock, as well as allied companies. Formed in 1947, the association has affiliations in 26 states and member companies worldwide.
