Religious Freedom Rally Friday In Little Rock
A “Stand Up for Religious Freedom Rally” is set for Friday, June 8 in Little Rock.
The rally is organized primarily by Family Council of Arkansas and will be held at noon at the state capitol. The rally is part of a nationwide rally organized across the country in opposition to government policies that harm religious freedom, such as the controversial HHS mandate on religious institutions.
“We are excited that this nationwide effort made its way to Arkansas,” said Family Council President Jerry Cox. “We believe that
it’s time for people of faith to proclaim in one voice that religious freedom is the bedrock of American society, and no government has the right to infringe upon this sacred liberty.”
In addition to Cox, speakers will include Republican State Senator Missy Irvin of Mountain Home; Rev. Anthony Taylor, Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Little Rock; Mark Evans, Senior Pastor, The Church at Rock Creek; and former Congressional candidate, Republican Beth Anne Rankin.
