After sitting vacant for more than a year, a 6,500-SF restaurant building in Bentonville has a new owner, and a new tenant.

David Inglis, through his SE Metro LLC, paid $487,500 to take ownership of the bank-owned building and 1.48 acres behind Village Inn at 3607 S.E. Metro Parkway.

The First National Bank of Fort Smith financed the deal.

The single-story building, built in 1998, was formerly home to Boomers Time Out, Brioso Brazil and Molly MaGuires.

Inglis has leased the property to the Italian restaurant Bella Napoli, which will expand from its home of the past six years, a strip mall center at the corner of Highway 102 and Southeast J Street in Bentonville.

The new restaurant, with Carlos Calderon remaining as general manager, will be re-branded as Metro Italiano and a tentative opening is scheduled June 15.

It will now incorporate a full-service bar and, in addition to the main dining room, will have the capacity to cater to events and business meetings in two private rooms, one seating 60 guests and another seating 30.

Jeff Genova with the Rogers office of Weichert Realtors — The Griffin Co. in Springdale represented Inglis in the transaction.

Craig Hull of Hull & Co. Commercial Real Estate in Rogers represented the seller, Texas-based First Bank.
