Dental Franchise Nears Opening of Springdale Store

A $300,000 renovation project for a new dental office at 3617 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale is nearing completion.

My Dentist Complete Care Dentistry, a family of dental practices based in Oklahoma City, Okla., plans to open its first Arkansas location in mid-May, said company spokesman Kyearra Morris.

The primary dentist for the group practice will be Dr. Johnny Pearce, who most recently was in private practice in Collierville, Tenn.

An additional doctor will be added later, Morris said, and the business will employ about 25 when at full staff.

Dr. Pat Steffen founded My Dentist in 1983. The company provides general dentistry services, with specialists in orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics.

The Springdale opening will give the company 35 locations. Others are in Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas.

Morris said My Dentist also plans to open a Fayetteville location in mid-August, though an exact site hasn’t been determined.

Steffen, through his Advanced Dental Implant & Denture Center LLC, paid Faucette Family LLC $678,000 in December 2011 for the land on West Sunset in Springdale. It’s just shy of an acre.

The building under renovation was most recently an office for Coldwell Banker Faucette Realty from 2002 to 2009. It contains about 5,000 SF.

My Dentist is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
