Beth Anne Rankin Starts TV Ad Campaign
Fourth District Congressional candidate Beth Anne Rankin, R-Magnolia, has hit the TV airwaves with her first commercial spot of the 2012 GOP primary season.
The ad, titled “Facing Giants,” features Rankin describing her campaign in 2010 against Cong. Mike Ross, D-Prescott, who is retiring this year.
“As your Republican nominee in 2010, together we faced a giant,” Rankin says.
She touts her ties to former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and notes she is the daughter of an economist. Rankin advocates a number of conservative causes including the repeal of the federal health care law and support for a balanced budget amendment.
“I’m Beth Anne Rankin and I approved this message because facing giants is what I do,” she says at the end of the ad.
Grant Wallace, manager for Rankin’s Congressional campaign, tells Talk Business that the ad started today and is airing district-wide on both cable and broadcast.
Rankin faces Republican challengers Tom Cotton and John Cowart in the May 22 primary. A Talk Business-Hendrix College Poll released last week shows Rankin and Cotton tied at 38.5% among likely Republican voters.
