UAFS Faculty & Guest Concert

The Music Department at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith invites you to an evening of performances by music faculty members and special guests, including members of the Southwest Chapter of the American Musicological Society. Featured works include Terry Riley’s minimalistic composition “In C” and P.D.Q. Bach’s “laugh out loud” oratorio, “The Seasonings.” “In C” is well known for having no set number of performers and no set duration.  Notable excerpts from “The Seasonings” include “Open sesame seeds” and “To curry favor, favor curry.” Admission is free and open to the public.  Second Street Live, 101 North 2nd Street, 7:30 p.m.  For more information, call Edward White at 479-788-7547.
