UA Restructures Global Campus, Promotes Reyes to Vice Provost
Changes to the University of Arkansas’ Global Campus, which provides distance and continuing education programs, will include the promotion of Javier Reyes to the new position of vice provost for distance education.
Reyes, an associate professor of economics, is currently associate dean of the Sam M. Walton College of Business and director of the college’s honors program. He was named to the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 class of 2011.
Pauline Rankin, the interim dean of the Global Campus, will assume a senior leadership role under the reorganization plan, UA Provost Sharon Gaber said in a news release.
In other administrative changes to the Global Campus, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will be aligned with the College of Education and Health Professions, and the media services unit will be aligned with the Office of University Relations.
The changes will take effect July 1.
