Get into “Other People’s Money”
On Monday and Tuesday (March 5&6) Fort Smith Little Theatre Director Rham Cunningham will host auditions for a five-member cast to star in Other People’s Money by Jerry Sterner, which will run April 12-21.
Cunningham will be looking for three men between the ages of 25 to 65 and two women between the ages of 25 to 60. Auditions will be conducted from 7-9 p.m., after work and school for budding — or experienced — community actors.
The 1991 movie of the same name starred Danny DeVito, Gregory Peck and Penelope Ann Miller. The show is a romantic/dramatic comedy about present-day cut-throat capitalism; with the good, the bad and the hard-to-understand outcomes. An old manufacturing business in Rhode Island is facing a hostile takeover by a middle-aged corporate raider from New York City. The war is on with small battles between mother and daughter, the plant manager and board chairman. Greed, lust, and emotion — this one has it all.
Auditions will be held at the theater, 401 North 6th St. in Fort Smith. 479-783-2966.
