The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is launching a three-part series with a program examining the impact of health care on Northwest Arkansas’ economy on April 5.

The series, Focus on the Economy, will look at the economic impact of infrastructure and the importance of local business support and retention in subsequent programs.

The April 5 program will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Northwest Arkansas in Rogers. The featured speaker will be University of Arkansas Medical Systems chancellor Dr. Dan Rahn. Rahn also will lead a panel discussion involving other regional health care leaders.

Series organizers said quality health care is critical to the region’s economy due to its status as one of the area’s largest employment sectors and as a quality of life component that impacts economic development, job retention and work force recruitment.
