Crawford County races set; Judge Hall unopposed
The 2012 Crawford County filing period ended at noon, March 1, and brought with it a combined seven contested races for county offices and justices of the peace.
At the County Clerk position, incumbent Teresa Armer-Democrat (D) will face off against Bridget Bearden Dodson-Republican (R). Assessor Ronnie Dale-R will also face competition from Christi Haught-R and Connie Beyerle-Independent (I), whose notice of candidacy was reported Thursday. Finally, Sandy Cook-D will challenge Tax Collector Kevin Pixley-R for his position.
County Judge John Hall (D), Sheriff Ron Brown (D), Circuit Clerk Sharon L. Blount (D), Treasurer Beverly Pyle (R), and Coroner Pam Wells (D), will run as incumbents in non-contested elections.
At the quorum court level, districts 1, 3, 5 and 10, will see contested elections, while the rest will run as uncontested. These races are set as follows:
