Elvis fever continues

The Million Dollar Quartet’s Elvis impersonator, Cody Slaughter of Harrison, isn’t the only entertainer helping us relive those memories of The King.

While Slaughter’s role in the Million Dollar Quartet musical embodies Elvis in his early years, Donny Edwards will cover Elvis’ early music and take you through what some consider Elvis’ hey-day, the Las Vegas era.

A Tribute to Elvis, a concert featuring Edwards and his eight-member back-up band, Fever, is slated for 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Van Buren Fine Arts Center.

A note on how good he is — Edwards was recently a top three finalist on ABC-TV’s The Next Best Thing. He’s also a two-time world champion Elvis tribute artist.

More about Edwards can be found at his website.

Information on the show is available at (281) 713-8140. We’re told that shows elsewhere have been selling out.
