Windstream announced that Susan Bradley, senior vice president of human resources, will retire at the end of January.

A search for her successor will begin immediately.

“Susan has played an integral role in Windstream’s success,” said Jeff Gardner, Windstream’s president and CEO. “She has been a key leader and one of my closest confidantes. I am very grateful for her many years of service with the company. I wish Susan all the best in the future.”

Bradley has been responsible for Windstream employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, payroll administration and staffing. She was appointed to the position in December 2005.

Prior to joining Windstream, Bradley served as vice president of human resources for Alltel. She joined Alltel in 1990 when it acquired Systematics, Inc., and served in a variety of human resources management roles. Prior to joining Alltel, she spent 12 years with Southwestern Bell.
