Brooke Bisbee said she’s always been drawn to surgery. She chose the field of podiatry so she could still perform surgery while also having the lifestyle she wanted.

Bisbee graduated from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in 1995 with a degree in biology. In 1999, she obtained her podiatric doctorate from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, and went on to  a two-year residency at the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration Hospital in Tucson.

After completing her residency, Bisbee returned to her hometown of Rogers and decided to open her own practice. Being in the 11th year of owning her own practice, she said, is her greatest achievement.

In five years, Bisbee said she hopes to have grown enough to add a third doctor to her practice.

Besides her family’s encouragement, she’s motivated by the look on her patients’ faces when she’s able to help them feel better.

When she’s not helping patients, Bisbee is serving as PTO president at Westside Elementary School in Rogers, serving on the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and helping coach soccer at the Rogers Activity Center.

She’s also active with the Arkansas Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association,  and serves on two committees.

“As well as giving back to my local community, I think it’s vitally important to give back to the profession that has provided me with so much,” she said.
