Keb’ Mo’ and then some
If you’re looking to catch soulful blues guitarist Keb’ Mo’ in concert, it’s best to catch him at the Walton Arts Center before he ducks back into the studio.
The Jan. 25 show, at 7 p.m. in Baum Walker Hall, features Keb’ Mo’s band and special guest Anders Osborne.
Keb’ Mo’, born Kevin Moore, released his last album, the Grammy Award-nominated “The Reflection,” just five months ago. But he recently told Billboard he’s already planning his next album. With the exception of his 2009 live album “Live and Mo’,” he hadn’t released an album since “Suitcase” in 2006. He self-produced “The Reflection” and will likely seek an outside perspective with the next one. He also hinted that the next album might revisit some older folk and blues influences.
Swedish-born Osborne — a New Orleans singer-songwriter considered on a level with artists such as Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen and Townes Van Zandt — is expected to join Mo’ on stage. For more on the concert visit the Walton Arts Center website.
