The Arkansas Federation of College Republicans (AFCR) announced a Fourth District Congressional GOP debate using Twitter, the popular social media platform.

The debate will be held January 18th at 2 p.m. using the #ar4 hashtag.

Questions used in the debate will come directly from Arkansas college students.  Individuals and other entities can also participate in the debate by tweeting their questions using the #ar4 hashtag.

“The issues facing our country pose a direct threat to our generation. This debate style will provide a platform for the GOP candidates in Arkansas’ Fourth District to directly communicate to Arkansas’ college students, who upon graduating will face a national youth unemployment rate of 18 percent, double that of the national average,” said Skot Covert, state chairman of the AFCR, which can be found on Twitter here.

Confirmed participants include Marcus Richmond and Tom Cotton, but not Beth Anne Rankin, according to an AFCR press release.

Fourth District Republicans held their first debate on Monday, Jan. 9. You can check out an archive of the live-stream, which was hosted by LobbyUp and Talk Business, at this link.
