Clean and Green: L’Oreal Steps Up Environmental Efforts
Last week, we reported on L’Oreal’s efforts to harness solar energy to support its North Little Rock factory.
This week, we take a look at several other initiatives underway at the make-up manufacturer.
L’Oreal’s parent company has pushed the company to reduce water use, CO2 emissions and plant waste by 50% by the year 2015.
In North Little Rock, employees have dotted the facility with recycling boxes. The company also took advantage of a small loan program that allowed for energy efficiency improvements at more than 100 workers’ homes.
And, L’Oreal developed its new Flex Line robotic manufacturing process with energy savings in mind. Flex Line saves energy through its ability to change over make-up lines more quickly and efficiently.
