Aviation Repair Technologies Hoping To Rehire 65 Laid-off Workers
KAIT Channel 8 in Jonesboro reports on progress being made since layoffs of 65 workers at Aviation Repair Technologies’ Blytheville facility in December.
Company leaders say they’re working on a business plan to bring those workers back.
“Before we were a repair station that took care of the components off the aircraft. And we’re gonna shift our focus more to be a component company that does heavy maintenance.” said Vice President and General Manager Rick Uber.
“The idea is to go from having 4 or 5 major customers to having 300 to 400 customers. The component world will allow you to do that. Again to try and prevent anything happening like we just went through,” said Uber.
