Top 10 Films of 2011
This year, I viewed 104 films at the movie theater as part of my movie reviewing duties for one of the local TV stations and as a member of a weekly movie club. That’s a lot of popcorn eaten and time spent in dark movie theaters.
I compiled a list of my top ten films for 2011, which was a bit difficult because, while I saw many films, this year’s crop of movies were a bit lackluster.
2011 was the year of the sequels with more of them released than I can ever recall, meaning there wasn’t a lot of originality coming out of Hollywood this year. In fact, of the ten highest grossing films in 2011, seven of them were sequels, which probably means that we’ll see more sequels in the future since these made money.
