The Staybridge Suites at 1801 S. 52nd St. in Rogers was presented recently with the IHG 2011 Torchbearer Award, the most celebrated award given by its ownership group.

The award was presented during the 2011 IHG Americas Investors & Leadership Conference in Las Vegas.

The hotel, according to a news release, is one of only 116 properties chosen from the IHG system of more than 4,400 hotels for achieving the highest levels of excellence in all aspects of operation — from quality to customer satisfaction.

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), the world’s largest hotel group, is a global company operating seven hotel brands.

A 2011 Torchbearer trophy was awarded to just five Staybridge properties.

With 83 guest rooms, Staybridge Suites in Rogers opened in December 2007. It collected $1.08 million in revenue in 2010, a 17 percent increase from 2009.
