Hutchings Launches Online Coupon Website

DealCompass Inc., founded by Fayetteville entrepreneur Douglas Hutchings, has launched its first website, mydealcompass.com.

Created to redefine the online coupon and daily deals model, the site promotes cost-effective engagement between businesses and their potential customers.

“What it attempts to provide is a platform for a business owner to engage consumers when they are nearby and, hopefully, ready to spend,” said Hutchings.

Visitors to the site can locate a variety of participating service providers on a Google map, and then identify the best deal that is the most conveniently located.

Hutchings, the founder and CEO of Silicon Solar Solutions in Fayetteville, touts the cost effectiveness of Web-slash-mobile advertising for businesses and unbeatable deals for consumers.

“It’s a win-win for both,” he said. “The goal is to be the place a consumer looks before making a purchase, whether it’s a coupon for lunch, a spa appointment or a plumber,” Hutchings said.

Businesses of any size can create, modify and track coupons and deals in real time for one low monthly subscription.

Hutchings is offering businesses the option of a trial run for two months with an introductory rate of just a dollar each month. After that, the subscription is $49.99 per month.

The mobile application is available for free download for iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile users.
