Crossland Construction Co. in Rogers recently paid the city of Fayetteville $1.8 million for a building permit.
The permit will be used to construct a single-story, 8,933-SF building in south Fayetteville that will house the Washington County Animal Shelter.
The site is just off Clydesdale Road, behind the Washington County Juvenile Justice Center.
Crossland is the general contractor. Amirmoez Foster Hailey Johnson in Fayetteville is handling the design work.
Bacon Group Inc., a Florida-based architectural firm specializing in animal-care facilities, is also part of the project team.
DCI Engineering in Little Rock is the civil engineer.
HP Engineering Inc. in Fayetteville is the mechanical/electrical engineer.
Ryan Engineering in Siloam Springs is the structural engineer.
Beau Chene Home
A bank-owned estate in the Beau Chene Farms subdivision on the north side of Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers drew a $1.1 million sale.
Pedro and Tanya Farah bought the 9.1-acre property on Beau Chene Lane from Bank of America.
Chuck Simmons of the Rogers office of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette represented the buyer.
Collin Haynes built the two-story, 9,165-SF home in 2001.
The property appraised earlier this year for $2.6 million.
Candlewood Property
A 3,804-SF home in the Candlewood subdivision in southeast Fayetteville sold recently for $800,000.
Kay Palmer bought the 0.68-acre lot and two-story home on North Candlewood Drive from Patrick Brown.
Provident Funding, a division of Colorado Federal Savings Bank in Kansas City, Mo., backed the deal with a 30-year, $600,000 mortgage.
The home was built in 2000 and last appraised in 2010 for $557,200.
Estate Transaction
A 5,870-SF estate home in Fayetteville drew an $800,000 sale.
Morriss and Ann Henry paid Caywood Co. LLC for the 13.7-acre property on North Common Drive, near the intersection of East Township Street and Old Wire Road.
The five-bedroom home was constructed in 1988. Mary Bassett with Bassett Mix & Associates Inc. in Fayetteville was the listing agent for the property.
Waco Title Co. in Fayetteville was the closing agent.
