The 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa and two top employees were honored recently by Historic Hotels of America, a group formed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Jack V. Moyer, vice president of operations and development for the Eureka Springs hotel, was Hotelier of the Year among hotels with 75 rooms or less.

Bill Ott, director of marketing and communications, was named Hotel Historian of the Year.

The hotel, nationally known for its resident ghosts, also was recognized as a Milestone Property and received two Best Practices awards: for marketing and promotions, and reservation participation.

Moyer and Ott received the awards during the HHA’s recent conference in Cincinnati.
