Bond attorney and bank director Jane Dickey assumed the chair of UALR’s Board of Visitors Thursday, Nov. 17, succeeding physician and city director Dean Kumpuris, who has held the post since 1988. Dickey was vice chair of the board for the 2010-2011 term.

Also, Little Rock attorney Danyelle Walker and Jerry C. Jones, chief legal officer, senior vice president, and assistant secretary of Acxiom, have joined the visitors’ board.

A senior member of Rose Law Firm, Dickey has acted as the approving attorney for bond issues of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority, UALR, the UA System, and the cities of Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Hope, Texarkana, and Marion.

“Jane Dickey’s knowledge and expertise, along with her years of service to UALR and the community, make her a great fit for chair of the Board of Visitors,” Chancellor Joel E. Anderson said. “She has been a great friend of the university over the years and I have no doubt that she will continue to be a champion for UALR.”
