Children’s Hospital Gains Two New Board Members
Two new members have been elected to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital board of directors, Tamika Silverman Edwards and Charles M. Glasier, MD, both of Little Rock.
Edwards was elected for a three-year term through September 2014, and Glasier was elected for a one-year term through September 2012.
Edwards is the Director of Public Policy for the Southern Good Faith Fund. She previously served as a Community Affairs Specialist for U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln for more than ten years.
Glasier received his medical degree in 1976 from the University Of Virginia School of Medicine. He joined the Arkansas Children’s Hospital medical staff and the faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1985. In 1986, he was appointed Vice-Chief of Pediatric Radiology and became the director of Neuroradiology and MRI at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 1989. He is currently a professor of Radiology, Pediatric Neuroradiology at UAMS College of Medicine, Departments of Radiology and Pediatrics.
