More Cars for sale on Bentonville’s Moberly Lane
Passersby on “Automobile Avenue,” what we affectionately call Moberly Lane in Bentonville, will soon see some activity in the area between Buffalo Wild Wings and the Landers McLarty Nissan dealership.
The dealership at 2501 S.E. Moberly Lane will expand its footprint to the south in the coming months.
Overland Development Inc., led by president David E. Covington, sold two vacant lots in September totaling 5.5 acres for $1.45 million.
The properties now belong to TFM Properties LLC and Moberly Lane Bentonville AR LLC, two of several limited liability companies that make up the RLJ McLarty Landers Automotive partnership.
The Little Rock company, led by Thomas F. “Mack” McLarty, Steve J. Landers and Robert L. Johnson, consists of 35 automotive franchises and three Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealerships in eight states.
Franklin McLarty, the company’s senior VP, said the acquired acreage will be developed in the next three to four months to give the Nissan dealership more space for its inventory — until likely building a new dealership at the location.
Nissan vehicles for sale have been parked on the grass for weeks, overflowing from the dealer’s inventory on its own paved lots.
With nine auto dealerships currently on Moberly Lane — and a 10th nearing completion — we say the more the merrier.
