Second District Congressman Tim Griffin (R) has turned in another solid quarter of fundraising in his re-election bid.

Currently, he does not have an announced challenger for 2012.

Griffin reported raising $225,000 in the last three-month period pushing his fundraising total over $700,000 year-to-date. He will report about $370,000 cash on hand. A supermajority of his fundraising has come from in-state contributions, according to his campaign.

“I am thankful for the generosity and encouragement of Arkansans who have helped lay a strong foundation for the long, hard fight ahead in 2012," Griffin said. "Their support is critical as I continue to fight for policies that foster private sector job creation and make government live within its means.”

FYI, Griffin will be the next speaker at the central Arkansas Political Animals Club on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The meeting will be an exception to the norm as it will be held from 6:45 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. at the Little Rock Hilton on University Avenue. Cost: $20 per person at the door.
