Causey Rules Out 2012 Congressional Run

The 2010 Democratic nominee for the First Congressional District, Chad Causey, says he won’t challenge Rep. Rick Crawford (R), who beat Causey in last year’s election.

Causey issued this statement today:

"After much prayer and thoughtful discussion with my family, friends and supporters, I am no longer considering a run for Congress in 2012. I am humbled by the number of Arkansans offering encouragement to run but I must do what is best for my family at this time.

As for the future, I have not run my last race.  I still believe strongly in public service and will pursue other avenues of serving Arkansans in the months and years ahead. The fight for common sense values isn’t over, it is just beginning."
