SencorpWhite, a designer and maker of automated storage and retrieval systems, has donated a portable storage system worth about $35,000 to the RFID Research Center at the University of Arkansas.

The MicroVert system is being used in the center’s research and development efforts to optimize the supply chain through advanced RFID technology.

The center is exploring the use of RFID, or radio-frequency identification, in retail, supply chain, industrial engineering and computer science applications.

SencorpWhite’s MicroVert is a compact storage system designed for real-time inventory management to prevent out-of-stock situations, manage product expiration or recalls, and eliminate inventory shrinkage.
