Fans of Fayetteville’s Farmers Market can show their support for locally grown food by voting in the America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest.
The Fayetteville market was in first place earlier this month in the large-markets category, but had dropped to fourth as of Aug. 18, with 1,901 votes.
Voting began June 1 and ends Aug. 31. To cast a vote, go to action.farmland.org/site/PageServer?pagename=best_local_farmers_market_vote.
Winning markets get a feature article on the food website epicurious.com and a farmers market promotional package to help grow their market. The contest is held annually by American Farmland Trust, which works to save America’s farm and ranch land.
